Escape to the country – renting may be more affordable! 

A new trend is emerging in the rental market as new lets in rural areas become more affordable than cities, says Zoopla. 

According to the property website the change marks a reversal of what happened during the pandemic years of 2020-21, when many gave up on urban life and escaped to the country in search of more outdoor space. 

But cities have now regained their popularity resulting in rental inflation exceeding that of their rural counterparts. 

And they are now the go-to destinations meaning renting a place in the country might be more achievable.
